It's not love, but it's something...

Sewing-machineless, I've turned to knitting. I'm not very good at it, it seems, nor do I like it too terribly much, but at least I'm making something. I'm calling it "scarf" because I figure thats what it will become if I keep knitting the same stitch in infinite rows.

The yarn is hand-dyed in Switzerland. I purchased it at a market in Berne. It's a fabulously thick 100% wool.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog. It appears you are not listed as a follower anymore. That is why no updates on the blog. Yes, I would love to see the Burda magazine and would send in exchange the current Threads if you like.

  2. Shoot me an email at summersetsewing@gmail.com and I can give you my mailing address for the Burda. And notice on other blogs that list you as blogs they follow that your link never updates as it shows on my blog list. I have tried deleting and re-adding to see if that would fix the problem. But no, your blog always shows last update as 2 months ago. I follow the bookmark I have but others may think you retired the blog maybe.

  3. Hi Jana!! I couldn't find an email for you, but I wanted to answer your question about my piping. :D I use a plain old zipper foot. You can get right up next to the edge! When I stitch the next layer or facing, etc to the piping, I flip it all over and stitch from the other side so I can just follow my first line of stitching. Hope that makes sense? Email me if it doesn't! jemimabean at gmail dot com
